You’ve heard it a hundred times, 2020 has been a year from BLEEEP.
As the eternal optimist, I choose to see the benefits we can associate with the past year and all it has taught us. That’s right, look at all the lessons we have learned about meal planning, personal hygiene, self-development, and remote opportunities.
This past year, more than ever, has forced us to expand our capabilities, realize fresh starts, and challenge our creativity.
As a small business owner who was just getting into a rhythm, I, like many others, made a few pivots in what my revenue streams look like and how to keep the ship afloat.
Several entrepreneurs found themselves with a bit more free-time than they have known for a while. When we realized that this new normal storm front wasn’t moving out as quickly as we’d hoped, we started to work on projects for our business.
This is when I started getting calls from other local companies who wanted help updating their websites and social media.
We chatted about the specifics of their businesses: what services or products they offered, who their ideal clients are, what is their marketing vibe, and what do they want to show off.
From there, we came up with a combined plan, a shoot date and we execute!
I found a new joy in being able to help fellow business owners strategize this piece of their marketing plan. Not to mention how much fun we always have, each business, just like each individual I photograph, is so personal and specific that I am continually challenged and excited at the same time.
Each unique project is one of the biggest reasons I have such gratuitous feelings of pride and accomplishment in my work. Also probably why I often get a wee bit emotional about each projects outcome. I’ve been known to be so excited about the delivery of a product that I completely forget my need to collect payment!
Anywho, this summer, I had the honor of trying something new, yet again, with holi powder and jumping dogs. With my background in legal, of course I did my research and interviews of those who have gone before me.
I’d like to share with you a few images from my spotlight local Blaine small business, Fairy Tails Grooming.
